As an under grad, I took SEVERAL courses from Dr. Knowles. He's just plain awesome! When you first meet him, he might rub you the wrong way and seem rough around the edges, but after a while, he grows on you. The 4700 course I took from him was his

Dr. Sha' is freaking fantastic! She is one of the most dedicated professors I've ever encountered. She has stayed in her office with me for 3 hours, til almost 10pm, in order to make sure that I got the information I needed to succeed in her class. I HATE data analysis...with a passion...but Dr. Sha' desires that ALL of her students succeed in her class. I went into the course with the attitude that if I could get out with a C, I think I'd be content. That mind frame was NOT acceptable to Dr. Sha', and she let me know it time and time again. She worked with me and ultimately I ended up with an A in her class for the semester. I think out of ALL the classes I've taken at VSU, this A is the one that I'm most proud of. I can honestly say I worked my butt off to achieve this...and I KNOW that the majority of my success is because of Dr. Sha'. She'll not only help you with school related stuff, but she'll help you with things that are not school related, as well. She's just an all around good person. VSU is extremely lucky to have a professor of her caliber as a member of their faculty. TAKE HER FOR ANY AND ALL CLASSES YOU CAN GET HER FOR!!!! You or your GPA won't regret it!

Dr. Prine is Dr. Prine...lol. what can I really say? He's long winded, but overall a good guy. He's fair. His tests in ALL of his classes are all essay (sucks to write so much), but overall, his classes and tests are easy. He usually provides you with the notes (via blazenet) and all you have to do is read/review them a few times prior to the test and you'll be good to go. His tests are and can be wayyyyyyy too long...annoyingly so, actually. But if you're a CRJU major you cannot avoid taking Dr. P. As I said, other than being long winded...and corny...he's a good guy. Keep an open mind!
